Joel

I completed my MPharm degree at Queens University Belfast in 2007 and became a registered Pharmacist in 2008. I then undertook my PhD studies in Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, which focused on protein-protein interactions between nuclear receptors and cofactors. During this time I was able to present my work at international conferences in Cambridge, Barcelona, Sorrento and Spetses. I successfully defended and submitted my PhD thesis in 2013 and continued my research with the University of Nottingham, before taking up a postdoc position at Imperial College London in 2015. Following this, I moved into teaching, completing my PGCE in Chemistry with University College London in 2018, having concluded two successful placements with Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School and Wanstead High. In my NQT year I worked with Central Foundation Boys School before moving to North Bridge House Senior School (Hampstead), where I am currently based. During this time I have worked part-time with several leading tuition agencies in London, including Hampstead and Frognal and Griffin and Bell and achieved highly successful results for clients.
