Breathwork is the use of Breath Awareness and Conscious Breathing for healing and growth, personal awakening and transformation in spirirt, mind and body. Dan Brule
As we go about our daily lives many of us unlearn our natural breathing practice. We breathe on average 21,000 breaths a day. If we do not breathe properly we can feel sluggish, lack vitality and become unfocused. We can also get into the habit of using the wrong muscles to breathe. Instead of engaging our diaphragm we may use the muscles around our neck and shoulders which over time creates tension and blockages in these areas.
Our mental, physical and emotional health are regulated by how we breathe and our breath is the one system in the body we have control of – we can speed it up to energise us, slow it down to calm us.
I run 1:1, small group and larger group sessions, where I help clients regulate their nervous system through psychoeducation and learning a variety of breathwork practices.
