Visual Storytelling

I will teach the basis of creating a story from beginning to end, and in parallel, will mentor the students through the process of assembling and / or producing the necessary visuals to illustrate and accompany the story they’ve imagined. Classes will strongly emphasize individual creativity and include practical activities and hands-on experience. The final phase will be to teach, tutor and guide on how to edit a 3 to 5 minute ‘visual story’ (or little movie) from start to finish, with music, sound design and titles.

THE TEACHER: Joelle Bentolila is an award-winning film writer / director. She is passionate about filmmaking and believes that, in constructing and visualising stories, children and teenagers are constructing and visualising themselves.
