WHAT WE DO
EDUCATION SUPPORT
The Maze Academy offers a positive educational alternative to children who for many different reasons are not thriving in mainstream school. It provides a flexible module-based learning program incorporating core subjects from the National Curriculum plus additional extension subjects added to reflect each child’s needs and interests.
Children aged from 5–16 are taught in one of The Maze Academy drop-in facilities or from the comfort of their home, learning in a nurturing environment with access to highly trained specialist teachers and a comprehensive social emotional educational program. The sole aim is to help children thrive again by allowing them to catch up academically, rebuild their confidence and begin to flourish socially and emotionally.
The Maze Academy has partnered with The Elijah Clinic, run by Cognitive Neuropsychologist Dr. Deborah Elijah to offer world-class social, emotional and wellbeing modules to children who would benefit from such support.
Maze Academy CORE Modules
The sole aim of our Core Curriculum classes is to help children thrive by supporting their homeschool program; allow them to catch up academically; rebuild their confidence with the support of the Elijah Centre; and begin to flourish socially and emotionally. Most Maze Academy children return to mainstream school when they are ready. Some, however, may prefer not to and remain Maze Academy pupils until they have completed their GCSE’s.
Every child can benefit from a tailored program to suit their individual needs. We provide fully vetted, handpicked tutors and mentors, that match the individual needs of each of our students.
Our Core Curriculum classes provide a broad set of subjects in line with the UK’s National Curriculum. It also offers classes to support the emotional health and well-being of each child with an integrated, therapy led way of learning.
